Today, we at the North Captiva Conservation and Beautification Foundation (NCCBF) are reaching out with an appeal to protect this irreplaceable gem.
As the shifting sands around North Captiva Island continue to move, it's not beyond imagination that this Pink Flamingo property could once again become a tempting spot for construction. While it remains unbuildable for now, with accretion the future might tell a different story, threatening its public accessibility and delicate ecosystems. To prevent such an occurrence, NCCBF is committed to purchasing and preserving this 1.4 acre parcel, ensuring that it remains untouched by construction and forever open to the public.
